Sisterhood is an integral part of Congregation Kol Emeth. Our programs offer spiritual, educational, cultural and social opportunities for the women of Congregation Kol Emeth.
Sisterhood fund-raising provides a significant financial contribution to the synagogue. We serve the community by supporting the Torah Fund of Women's League for Conservative Judaism as well as other national and global Jewish organizations.
Our book club meets 6 times a year with a variety of selections. The review and discussions are under the leadership of Selma Katz.
We are a diverse group of women who enjoy both the company of each other and serving the many needs of Congregation Kol Emeth whether it means sponsoring speakers and/or entertainers or organizing Shabbat kiddushim and Oneg Shabbats or Chanukah bazaars.
Come and participate in our meetings and many activities and join a warm group of caring women.

to Speak on
I'm From Division Street
On Sunday morning, August 13th, at 10:30 a.m., in a joint program, Kol Emeth's Men's Club and Sisterhood are hosting Author/Attorney/Boxer Kenneth Green's presentation of his book, "I'M FROM DIVISION STREET." Mr. Green, who was inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame, will be sharing his stories about rising from #186 out of #187 graduates from Roosevelt High School facing poverty, academic problems and anti-Semitism to a prominent professional and personal success. Ken's book also vividly describes the Humboldt Park neighborhood when he was growing up and profiles famous Jewish people who had their roots there. He will be bringing and personally signing copies of his book to sell. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation. Please RSVP to Jennifer Blitz at email@example.com or call her at 773-769-3315.
