Mission / Philosophy

Our mission is to serve the religious, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the Jewish community, and to encourage charitable acts. Our aim is to preserve and strengthen Conservative Judaism by fostering the lofty and noble ideals of Judaism. We strive to provide a welcoming home for Jewish people living in the greater metropolitan Chicago area.

Congregation Kol Emeth sees its mission as being a place where Jews, and others, can come together to experience the religious, intellectual, and cultural elements of Judaism. We follow the traditions of the Conservative Movement which recognizes the equality of all Jews in the practice and responsibilities of our religious traditions.
